Classes
Anusara: Anusara (a-nu-sar-a) means “flowing with Grace,” “going with the flow,” “following your heart.” Anusara Yoga is a heart-oriented, inspiring and powerful hatha yoga system that unifies a philosophy of intrinsic Goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment. It is a unique, therapeutic style of Hatha Yoga in which the artistic expression of the human heart blends magically with the scientific principles of biomechanics. Anusara was founded and created by John Friend.
Wedneday 630-745pm with Bill Dorigan, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 600-715 am with Roger Pressman

Beginner Vinyasa: The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of the vinyasa practice, including fundamental alignment principles, sun-salutes, standing, seated, and balancing postures. Class is appropriate for beginners to yoga as well as experienced yogis looking to refine their practice.

Capoeira: Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines Music, Dance, Acrobatics and Martial Arts into a beautiful and challenging game that is played with the whole body. A capoeira practitioner or “capoierista” trains various kicks, ducks, sweeps, takedowns and ground movements. These movements are then used in a game with a fellow capoeirista. The game is played in what is called the “roda”. The roda is a circle of capoeiristas that stand around two people playing capoeira. Each person in the roda gets their turn to play as they create the music that capoeira is played to. A capoeira game is played by throwing kicks, sweeps, and takedowns and evading those same movements coming from the other player. Capoeira is the most intense workout you will ever endure and will shape your body and mind in amazing ways.

Intermediate Vinyasa: Combining breath and movement, this class will explore various aspects of the Vinyasa practice. Classes will include deeper pose variations, arm-balances, and inversions as well as how to thoughtfully link these aspects. Should have an established yoga practice and familiarity with classic vinyasa sequences.

Power Vinyasa: Invigorate and empower yourself with alignment based yoga classes focusing on strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. Learn to unite Breath, Body, Mind and Spirit as you delve deep within and discover more about your true and authentic Self! All skill levels are welcome.

Vinyasa Flow: Through the combination of breath and movement, this energetic class is focused on accurate alignment, breath control, core strength, mindfulness and concentration. Classes are designed to challenge the mind and body allowing for transformation on and off the mat. All levels welcome.
