If Matt D'Amico's life was a movie, it would be directed by James Cameron. Complete with a government chase, explosions and wrecking balls, his path to The BodyLab wasn't a straight line. D'Amico takes fitness seriously, but simultaneously takes nothing seriously at all. He measures pain based on how it compares to a wire brush up his ass—if it's not as bad, it's tolerable. It's a grit he inherited from his granddaddy.

D'Amico spent his formative years with military aspirations and winning Presidential fit tests. He went onto the Air Force Academy where he quickly went AWOL after realizing that, while he was drawn to intensely physical experiences, he didn't actually want to kill people. He found himself on the trading room floor working in commodities where he witnessed the strangest, yet most commonplace, epidemic: High powered, rich men with poor eating habits and sedentary lifestyles. Like everyone else, D'Amico could understand the socioeconomic factors behind lower income brackets and poor food choices—they're cheaper. But, when execs with endless resources, who excel in the most high-pressured situations, can't transfer that same sense of urgency to their physical state, it made no sense to him. Couple this with another important observation D'Amico made that training models were hackneyed and didn't garner results.

Equipped with an extensive background in business, nutrition and fitness, along with a unique understanding of the constraints placed on today's population, D'Amico set out to create an efficient lifestyle management program that utilizes strict accountability systems in order to produce unparalleled results for his clients. Now, after years of perfecting his specialized program, Matt has created the ultimate training system, in Denver's most cutting-edge facility: The BodyLab.

Beaming beacon of positivity and unparalleled source of motivational energy; Saara's professional aspiration is to transform client's lives utilizing approaches that are fun, engaging, and exciting. Under her tutelage and guidance clients learn to make sustainable long-term changes, without resorting to ineffective fitness fads, destructive diets, or other trendy nonsense. Her academic background and personal passions are firmly rooted in performance psychology and health promotion, and she strives to push people to be their best selves.

In college, Saara received an athletic scholarship for diving and studied kinesiology (human movement), health promotion, and psychology. Deciding that sport and exercise was totally her thing, she moved to Finland to pursue a Master`s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. While studying, she was also diving for the Finnish National team and training for the 2008 Olympics where she was the first overall alternate for the Beijing games.

Saara has coached and trained divers of all levels from beginner to international for the past 15 years in three different countries. Having worked with many Olympic level coaches and athletes, she knows what works, and what doesn't. Saara leverages her unique combination of academic excellence, athletic prowess, and extensive experience when training and coaching clients. There's a masterful method to her madness.

Currently a PhD candidate in Sports Psychology, Saara is also involved in a five year research project which seeks to create and implement sustainable exercise and lifestyle programs for youth within the metro Denver area. If her five year project is successful in teaching children to live healthy lifestyles, it has the potential to be launched nationally as the new standard for youth fitness programs in the school system! In her free time she enjoys drinking homebrews and other craft beers, playing with her boxers, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.

Growing up in the technological age has given Tyler a first-hand look at what today's technology is doing to the general population, and it does not bode well for society's average mammal. Involved with many different sports at an early age, Tyler has always been in search of that coveted feeling of pushing yourself beyond the ‘normal' limits to see what is truly possible. As he grew older, that feeling seemed to fade, along with society's ideas of getting – and STAYING – as fit as possible.

That is, until he found the BodyLab. Since he started training in 2010, he has since found that feeling again, and can't seem to get enough of it. After a painstaking and comprehensive apprenticeship, Tyler is quickly becoming known as a 'Beat-down specialist'.

While his ideas are very simple, they are not easy. A laser-focused diet and a BodyLab workout with Tyler will yield the results you're looking for. With an extensive knowledge of the technologically-savvy world we live in, Tyler understands first-hand what those effects will have on your body. His blossoming ideas enhance the BodyLab way of life, and he is committed to seeing results.

For Heidi, intense physical exertion clears the mind and brightens the soul. Through personal experience, she has discovered that pushing herself through perceived thresholds not only enlightens the physical self, but the spiritual self as well.

While she has many interests outside of the fitness lifestyle, her passion for overall health and wellness has greatly intensified over the past several years. Competing in triathlons, and most recently in bodybuilding, Heidi has learned that change only happens with consistent training, a good diet, and accountability. Bringing inspiration and knowledge to those who seek the pathway to this change has become Heidi's passion.

Once she found The BodyLab, her first workout proved to her that this fitness establishment is the ultimate realm for learning all about your body. Becoming a BodyLab trainer has given Heidi the perfect opportunity to teach and inspire those who are seeking help to find their own path into the fitness lifestyle. She is ready to push you through your old thresholds, and the only question is: are you?


Jonathon Edward

Embodying a wholly unique amalgamation of experience, education, personality, and passion Jonathon is a fascinating Jekyll-Hyde combination of nerd and jock; think rebel scientist meets maverick athlete. Equally at home immersed in the latest cutting edge exercise science publication or awash in exercise-induced blood, sweat, and tears Jonathon prides himself on blurring the line between brains and brawn.

Seemingly always fascinated by human physiology and behavioral psychology, in college Jonathon majored in Biological Chemistry and unofficially minored in applied social engineering. Through this he came to deeply understand not only the tenets of, and mechanisms underlying, optimal nutrition and integrated fitness training, but also the means to help people overcome the biggest obstacle in achieving their goals and realizing their potential; themselves.

Apprised and versed in the pervasiveness of mainstream fitness and nutrition misinformation, Jonathon realized his true calling was to become a personal trainer and guide/mentor clients through the maze of BS, to help them uncover the most efficacious path to their respective goals and aspirations. Certified as a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist by NASM, Jonathon takes a great deal of pride leveraging science and experience to educate, enable, and empower clients, both mentally and physically, through the process of personal transformation.

After a chance encounter, Jonathon was introduced to the BodyLab concept and found himself instantly intrigued by the methodology and approach. Exhaustive research, illuminating conversations, intense workouts, and a good deal of time spent with Matt led him to one definitive conclusion; BodyLab was legit and he wanted in! Battle-tested and client-approved, Jonathon is a motivational virtuoso, fitness guru, nutritional mastermind, relentless advocate for TCOCB (The Consumption of Craft Beer), and a damn interesting fellow to train with!


Sanoma Jean

Though Sanoma may look young, her experience, attitude, and expertise tell a different tale altogether. The adage looks can be deceiving is never more evident than when engaging in a high intensity workout with this iron-dominating bona fide badass of the weight rack. Cardio-bunny turned strength aficionado; Sanoma believes that it’s time to end the hamster wheel cardio and insanity of nautilus machines and advocates a combination of weight-lifting and functional training.

Sanoma takes a dedicated, give-it-your-all approach to training and fitness; there is no tolerance for half-hearted efforts when she’s around! As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, she prides herself on not only talking the talk, but walking the walk, and proves it by regularly participating in half-marathons and military-style obstacle races. Sanoma believes that the best high is an endorphin high and takes a great deal of pride mentoring and guiding clients with busy and chaotic schedules to maintain fit and healthy lifestyles.

To Sanoma, the spiritual and mental benefits of exercising are as if not more important than the physical aspects. Fitness represents so much more than just a means to lose weight or add muscle; it’s an ongoing journey that’s about enjoying life with your friends and family and increasing your overall happiness and well-being! Sanoma is passionately driven to help clients uncover and acquire the fiery passion for fitness and health that she found many years ago, and realize that virtually everyone is capable and deserving of becoming healthy, strong, and fit.

Casey has recently moved back to Colorado after spending the last 8 years in Atlanta, GA. During that time, Casey spent the latter 5 years working as a physical therapist for Atlanta's professional NFL and NHL teams the Atlanta Falcons and Thrashers. This amazing opportunity helped him gain extensive experience in the rehabilitation of sports medicine injuries and complex orthopedic conditions under the guidance of the teams’ orthopedic surgeons.

Casey graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002 with a Masters of Physical Therapy. Casey enjoys using his manual therapy skills to treat all types of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and is certified in trigger point Dry Needling (TDN) through Kinetacore in Brighton, CO. He stays busy with his two young girls Ella and Chloe while his wife also works in medicine as a Physician Assistant.

Rose graduated from the Rolf Institute Of Structural Integration® in 2007 and later received her Certificate in Rolf Movement.

In addition to Rolfing, Rose practices, studies, and teaches The Nia Technique® to further her experience in joy through movement.

Rose is honored to have trained with many of the highly respected teachers and practioners in her field; Marcia Babcock, Michael Polon, Jon Martine, Suzanne Picard, Holly Curtis, Jane Harrington, David Clark, Merlin Madrid, Russell Stolzoff, and Liz Krull.

Rolfing has transformed Rose's whole relationship with her body. Rolfing helped her to realign and integrate her body after years of sports, ballet, snowboarding, and mothering. Rolfing has enhanced her awareness of where her body is in space and increased possibilities for movement.

Rose has lived in Colorado her entire life. As a lifestyle she strives to improve her understandings of how our bodies are and offer inspiration.

A self proclaimed car guy, football whiz and tech junkie. John is a bonifide "jack of all trades”. He graduated from the school of Google, Wikipedia, and YouTube making him a self taught Nill-inaire who enjoys learning to do things himself.

John has always been athletic and into sports but like many others as they get older and less active, years of fueling late nights and long shifts with Mountain Dew or Chili Cheese Frito's started to take it's toll. He was never happy with the traditional gym model and recognized that in order to see his true potential he needed some help.

Matt's Lifestyle Engineer's and their approach was an exciting breath of fresh air in a stale fitness world. He was immediately hooked and fully bought into the program. John recognized that the BodyLab's integration of science, accountability, and fun was a formula for magic and wanted to be a piece of the puzzle.

Using his advanced interweb and techno-gizmo skills, John joined the BodyLab team with the all important task of Social Media Wizard, Multimedia Jedi, and Ambassador of Fun-Ness-N-Stuff. You've probably seen his handiwork on a daily basis creating content for our various social platforms, cranking out videos for the Virtual BodyLab Program, planning theme days and events. While he preferes to stay out of the limelight, rest assured he's always quietly working in the background to enhance your experience with the BodyLab.
